Yasutaka FUJIMOTO (S'93-M'98-SM'12)

was born in 1971 in Japan. He received B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Yokohama National University, Yokohama, Japan, in 1993, 1995, and 1998, respectively. In 1998 he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, Keio University, Yokohama, Japan as a research associate. Since 1999, he has been with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Yokohama National University, Japan, where he is currently an associate professor.

His research interests include actuators, motion control, robotics, and manufacturing automation.

Dr. Fujimoto is a member of IEEE IE Societies since 1993. He is also a member of IEE of Japan, Robotics Society of Japan, SICE, INFORMS, and IEICE.
